COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Updates

With many changes in our lives due to COVID-19 (Coronavirus), our pets provide comfort as we learn to enjoy and endure the abundance of time at home and the practice of social distancing.

We have implemented many new measures to keep our clinic running in a safe and healthy manner:

APPOINTMENTS

We plan to remain open during regular business hours. All non-essential surgeries and appointments will be re-scheduled to a later date.

All dentals unless deemed an emergency by our Veterinarian will be postponed.

Curb side protocol is being implemented for appointments:

Call the office when you arrive 515-963-4565. A technician will come out and get your pet from the car. Dr. Rauser will call you during the exam to keep you informed of your pet’s health. Once the appointment is completed we will return your pet to you.

Payments can be made via phone.

SUPPLIES

Dropbox protocol is being implemented for the pick up of food, medications, and supplies needed to care for your pet.

Call or email your requests, we will get them ready for you. Call when you are on your way or once you arrive and items will be placed in the dropbox for your pick up.

Payments will be taken via phone.

Due to an abundance of phone calls and limited staff, if we can’t answer your call please leave us a message and we will call you back.

PROTOCOL

Hand washing and disinfection protocols are in place to keep our facility clean and our clients and staff safe.

Healing Paws will continue to actively monitor the news to receive guidance from various public agencies about COVID-19 (Coronavirus), and will abide by recommendations put forth by the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), U.S. State Department, and city and county officials, and American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).

It is important to note that at this time COVID-19 is not thought to be a threat to your pets. For more information please see the information from the American College of Veterinary Medicine: https://www.avma.org/resources-tools/animal-health-and-welfare/covid-19
