Our Doctor 

Dr. Daryl Rauser

Daryl-webDr. Rauser graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006.  He spent the next 7 years practicing in Austin, MN as the lead small animal veterinarian in a five doctor mixed animal practice. Dr. Rauser served as a Mower County Humane Society Veterinarian during his time in Austin. He participated in the Austin High School Mentorship Program. His special interests are Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, and Dermatology.

Daryl grew up in Ankeny, graduating from Ankeny High School in 1997. He graduated from Central College in 2001 with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry.

Dr. Rauser is excited to be returning to Ankeny, to serve the community and raise his family. He has 3 children, a black lab, and a cat. His spare time is spent watching football, fishing, hunting, playing games with his kids, and attending Iowa State athletic events.

Jennifer Brayer CVT

Jennifer-Brayer-webJen is a Certified Veterinary Technician receiving her degree from Argosy University, Bloomington, MN.  She brings over 13 years experience to the clinic in animal care and office management.  Jen and her husband have 3 children and 3 dogs (2 Chihuahuas and 1 Golden Retriever) and 1 cat.  Her family recently relocated to Ankeny from Minnesota and is excited to be part of the team at Healing Paws.  In her spare time Jen enjoys family, reading, and gardening.






Alissa Rauser

Alissa-Rausser-webAlissa is the Practice Manager for Healing Paws.  She graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Exercise Science. She has spent the past 7 years raising children, and serving on many community boards during her time in Austin, MN. She grew up in Ankeny, graduating in 1997. She is thrilled to once again be living in Ankeny and raising her family. During free moments she enjoys reading, gardening, and running.






Diane Rauser

Diane-Rauser-webDiane is the receptionist at Healing Paws Veterinary Clinic.  She previously worked for Thrivent financial services as a service center representative, and enjoys working with people.  In her spare time she plays piano and organ for church and is the piano accompanist for Ankeny Community Chorus.   She and her husband live in Ankeny with their Australian Shepherd mix.  They have 2 sons (one of them is Dr. Daryl) and 5 grandchildren.
